Training and Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Training and Development Specialist to join our team at Broadstreet Properties Ltd. in Vancouver, British Columbia.

As a key member of our Learning and Development team, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive training programs aimed at enhancing employee skills, knowledge, and overall job performance. This role plays a critical part in onboarding new hires, developing existing staff, and ensuring that all team members are equipped to meet organizational standards and goals.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years' experience in a training-related role and a strong background in facilitation and coordination. They will be an articulate and confident trainer able to deliver training to large audiences both in person and virtually.

The focus will be on ensuring that employees have the competencies needed to succeed in their roles, improving both individual and team performance. The role will work closely with the Learning and Development team to ensure alignment with business objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare, coordinate, and deliver in-person onboarding for new employees for all departments within Broadstreet Properties Ltd.
  • Ensure the knowledge, practical skills, and comprehension to complete tasks based on role.
  • Ideate learning and development opportunities at individual and departmental levels.
  • Provide regular and consistent feedback to the trainee about their progress.
  • Work closely with Department Managers and Supervisors to ensure the continuation of training on site.
  • Monitor and evaluate training program effectiveness/completion and assist in the development of training materials and methods as required.
  • Provide training support to the Managers for the implementation of new projects and processes.
  • Lead by example in upholding diversity and inclusion measures.
