Job Title: Underwater Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Underwater Operations Specialist to join our team at DiveSafe International.

Job Summary:

The Underwater Operations Specialist will be responsible for performing underwater inspections, searches, salvage, repair, and photography. They will also train or assist in the training of other workers, supervise staff, evaluate curriculum programs, and troubleshoot problems related to equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform underwater inspections, searches, salvage, repair, and photography
  • Train or assist in the training of other workers
  • Supervise staff
  • Evaluate curriculum programs and recommend improvements
  • Troubleshoot problems related to equipment
  • Organize and maintain procedures for the keeping of records
  • Evaluate user feedback
  • Coordinate projects and programs
Requirements:
  • Commercial diver's license
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Ability to distinguish between colours
  • Attention to detail
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling
  • Hand-eye co-ordination
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Underwater recording equipment experience
  • Hydraulic experience
  • Underwater photography experience
  • Underwater survey experience
Work Environment:

The Underwater Operations Specialist will work in a remote location, outdoors, and underwater. They will be required to work in a wet/damp environment and may be required to relocate for this position.
