Kelowna General Hospital is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Clerk to join their team in Kelowna, B.C.


This part-time position offers a variety of clerical duties related to the work of the Diagnostic Imaging department, including:

  • Patient registration and scheduling
  • Communicating appointment information to Diagnostic Imaging staff, patients, and physicians' offices
  • Ensuring pertinent previous images and documentation are available for patient exams
  • Organizing and arranging for pediatric and adult sedation, catheterization exams, and ambulance bookings
  • Reception duties, including answering telephones and receiving and directing visitors
  • Completing standard forms for registration and billing purposes
  • Typing various documents, including memorandums, letters, and minutes
  • Arranging meetings and transcribing minutes and notes

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • A current administered 5-minute typing certificate of 45wpm completed in the last 48 months from an approved institution
  • Proof of completion of a Medical Terminology Course
  • Your resume indicating two years of recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • A cover letter stating your availability to start in a new position and on-call, casual work
