About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineering Technician to join our team at the City of Prince George. As a key member of our Civic Operations Department, you will play a vital role in the preparation of engineering design documentation for municipal infrastructure projects.
About Your Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation of engineering design documentation for municipal infrastructure projects utilizing engineering design software.
- Provide technical support to the Civic Operations Department by preparing and coordinating as-built record drawings and data for submittal to the City's GIS Department.
- Apply your technical expertise to ensure that all work complies with current municipal, Provincial, Federal, and environmental standards.
About Your Background:
To be successful in this role, you will require a two (2)-year post-secondary program in civil engineering technology from a recognized technical institute, eligibility for certification with the Association of Technologists and Technicians of B.C. (ASTTBC), and two (2) years of experience in the civil engineering field. Previous municipal experience will be considered an asset.
