About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Lead Water and Wastewater Engineer to join our Niagara office. This key position plays a crucial role in assisting with studies and Class EAs for water and wastewater projects.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare conceptual, preliminary, and final process design of water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, reservoirs, intakes, raw sewage pumping stations, outfalls, and other related infrastructure.
- Manage and coordinate interdisciplinary design teams, ensuring effective project control and delivery.
- Assist with contract administration, operator training, and site inspections as required.
- Develop and implement business development strategies, including proposal preparation.
- A University degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution.
- Licensure as a Professional Engineer within the province of Ontario.
- Superior English communication skills, both written and oral.
- No less than 5 years of experience in detailed design and project management of water and wastewater facilities.
- Proficiency in hydraulic calculations, including hydraulic profiles, pumping applications, and chemical feed systems.
- Knowledge of control and automation systems related to water and wastewater plant processes.
- Proven project management experience, including budget setting, project scheduling, scope change management, and agreement administration.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Project, and procurement practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with staff and clients.
- A competitive salary range: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
