Job Title: Technician

We are seeking a skilled Technician to join our team at First Student in Airdrie, AB. As a Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with vehicles.
  • Assist in the performance of preventative maintenance inspections and safety maintenance checks.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work completed on vehicles.
  • Collaborate with other technicians to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
  • Class B CDL with passenger endorsement required (or expected within 3 months of hire).
  • ASE Certification preferred; must participate in ASE testing program within 1 year.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and 0-1 years of automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required.
Working Conditions:
  • Maintenance shop environment with dust, dirt, and grease conditions.
  • Ability to work under all weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
