Job Overview

We're seeking a highly skilled Production and Procurement Specialist with experience in mechanical aptitude, technical challenges, and team management. This role will assist our Production Manager in building products, coordinating procurement, assembly, and testing, while maintaining quality control and assurance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret electrical schematics and mechanical CAD drawings (SolidWorks) for procurement and production purposes.
  • Sourcing vendors and generating RFQs based on timelines, quality, and cost.
  • Managing purchase orders, receiving and inspecting parts, ensuring quality meets specifications.
  • Reviewing Bill of Materials accuracy.
  • Developing production plans to meet yearly asset deliverables.
  • Analyzing current processes and providing input on new strategies for improvement.
  • Preparing components and hardware according to BOM; assembling sub-systems and checking function and quality.
  • Maintaining clean, organized, and stocked Mechanical production areas.
  • Assembling mechanical, electrical, and electronic components from new builds.
  • Completing first article builds, making adjustments for smooth production, and initiating root cause analysis as needed.
  • Repairing damaged products with containment strategy, following up with RCA and permanent change to eliminate failures.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Strong mechanical and electronics assembly skills.
  • Minimum 2 years relevant professional experience.
  • Able to perform hand assembly of custom fabrications consistently and efficiently.
  • Able to lift and carry up to lbs.
  • Strong aptitude with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Vendor management, selection, and execution.
  • RFQ and BOM management of multiple projects at the same time.
  • Project planning experience to keep production plans up-to-date, deliverables delivered on schedule, and issues noted to minimize risk of delivery.
  • Able to read mechanical and assembly drawings (CAD drawings).
  • Well-organized and able to manage time to work independently in a task ownership culture, prioritizing plans to deliver projects on-time.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • A team player and adaptable, able to learn quickly.
  • Strong communication skills both verbally and written.

  • Experience in the pipeline inspection industry.
  • Electrical manufacturing knowledge.
  • Proficient with hand tools.
