Job Description

The Edmonton Police Service is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Manager, Supply Chain & Warehouse Operations. This position is a key member of the Procurement, Contracts, and Supply Logistics Branch, reporting directly to the Director of the Branch.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic supply chain management plans to ensure efficient and reliable operations.
  • Manage and maintain inventory control systems, including warehousing and materials handling.
  • Ensure quality assurance and control measures are in place to guarantee the integrity of EPS's inventory assets.
  • Provide operational support, including logistics expertise, vendor management, and mail and courier services.
  • Lead and support strategic projects to modernize the Branch's operations and service delivery.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, social sciences, public administration, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years diversified procurement or supply chain management experience in a centralized procurement environment.
  • Leadership experience in a large and complex organization.
  • Certified Professional Purchaser (CPP) or Certified Public Purchasing Officer (CPPO) or equivalent certificate.
  • Additional professional designations or leadership certifications are highly desirable.
  • Experience in a unionized environment is required.
  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, supply chain planning, category management, supplier relationship management, and ERP system implementation.
  • Strong human resources management skills, including recruitment, coaching, performance development, and conflict resolution.
  • Ability to analyze complex technical information and make timely decisions.
  • Proven planning and organizational skills to manage competing interests and complex projects.
  • Demonstrated skills in facilitation, communication, and presentation.
Working Conditions

Hours of work: 36.90 hours per week, Monday - Friday. Hours of work may be subject to the terms and conditions of a variable hours of work program.

Salary range: $128,000 - $161,000 annually, Salary Grade: ML3.
