Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at the Government of Northwest Territories. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of our healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care to patients in a hospital or medical facility setting, including assessing patient needs, developing and implementing treatment plans, and evaluating patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care, including communicating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Conduct pulmonary function tests, administer medications, and perform other respiratory-related procedures as required.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to respiratory care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research, technologies, and best practices in respiratory care, and apply this knowledge to improve patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Certificate of Registry from the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists - R.R.T.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a hospital or medical facility setting.
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
