Job Title: Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at the Government of Northwest Territories. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide respiratory care to patients with a range of respiratory conditions, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, and pneumonia.
  • Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and implement respiratory therapy interventions to improve patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and coordinate with other departments as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest respiratory therapy techniques, technologies, and best practices to provide evidence-based care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to respiratory therapy.
Requirements:
  • Certificate of Registry from the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists - R.R.T.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in respiratory therapy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to relocate for this position.
