About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Planning Manager to join our Traffic Planning team at The Universal Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing strategic guidance and direction to ensure the fulfillment of client requirements, consistent delivery of exceptional customer service, and mentorship to the planning services team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Management and Leadership
    • Ensure all team members have the support and resources to meet daily output requirements.
    • Facilitate clear communication with TMP Team Members - Assisting with questions and escalations.
    • Ensure the planning department is compliant and a leader in the industry; following policies and procedures, and staying up to date with changes/trends in the industry.
  • Relationship Building
    • Build and maintain contractor relationships, communicate with clients to assess their needs, and resolve contractor issues promptly.
    • Active participation in company initiatives, committees, and events.
    • Ability to adapt to the different communication styles and needs of clients, vendors, and peers.
  • Project Management and Coordination
    • Provide daily guidance and motivation to the designer team to ensure deadlines are met.
    • Coordinate large special events with the respective department heads and the event lead.
    • Manage the estimation process, working closely with the sales team to ensure accurate and competitive submissions.
  • Administrative and Communication
    • Oversee department operations within company software, such as: Hubspot, PandaDoc, etc.
    • Submit reports, prepare presentations, and draft documents as needed.
    • Frequent, timely communication with internal and external stakeholders required.
Requirements
  • Traffic control, Security Industry or Construction background preferred.
  • Five years of previous management experience.
  • Hold a valid TCP ticket, or be willing to participate in the certification course.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office/ Google Office Suite.
  • High adaptability.
  • Business Insight - Applying knowledge of business and the marketplace to advance the organization's goals.
  • Collaborate - Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
  • Plans and Aligns - Planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with the organizational goals.
  • Drives Vision and purpose - Painting a compelling picture of the vision and strategy that motivates others to action.
