Overview

At the Government of Canada - Central, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your technical expertise in mechanical engineering project management.

With a strong background in conducting research, designing power plants, machines, and equipment, as well as analyzing dynamics and vibrations, you will be responsible for supervising and inspecting the installation of mechanical systems. Your exceptional leadership skills will also enable you to manage projects, prepare estimates, reports, and design specifications.

This senior role requires a deep understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills. You will work closely with technicians, technologists, and other engineers to ensure the successful delivery of government projects.

**Salary:** $93,000 - $115,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

**Required Skills and Qualifications:*

  • Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent experience
  • Membership in l'Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec
  • Expertise in Mastercam CAD/CAM, SolidWorks software, AutoCAD, MS Windows, MS Office, and MS Excel
