Job Description

Closing the Gap Healthcare is a Canadian-owned, award-winning organization dedicated to providing high-quality care across various home and community settings.

We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Physiotherapist to specialize in school-based rehabilitation care for children with complex needs. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized rehabilitation plans to improve the physical well-being of your pediatric clients.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with children and youth with neuro-developmental diagnoses and musculoskeletal conditions. You will work closely with families, schools, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and successful outcomes for your clients.

This salaried role offers a unique blend of fee-for-service school-based visits and complex care work, ensuring a stable schedule during the school year and opportunities for professional growth throughout the summer months.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive rehabilitation plans tailored to each client's unique needs
  • Collaborate with families, schools, and healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care and support
  • Prescribe mobility equipment and provide customized physical rehabilitation treatment programming
  • Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal client outcomes
Requirements:
  • Current active registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
  • Previous experience in pediatric physiotherapy or a related field (preferably)
  • ADP authorizer status (an asset)
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for transportation
