We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to join our team at West Fraser Hospitality Ltd. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for leading our culinary team in the preparation and presentation of delicious meals.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will have a minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role and will possess excellent leadership skills, as well as the ability to train and mentor junior staff members.
Key Responsibilities- Requisition food and kitchen supplies: Ensure that all necessary ingredients and equipment are available to maintain high-quality menu offerings.
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods: Develop and implement creative menus that showcase our culinary expertise.
- Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food: Foster a culture of excellence by providing ongoing training and coaching to our culinary team.
- Order supplies and equipment: Collaborate with suppliers to source the highest-quality products and equipment to support our kitchen operations.
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment: Implement effective inventory management systems to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
- Clean kitchen and work areas: Maintain a clean and safe working environment that adheres to all health and safety regulations.
As a valued member of our team, you can expect:
- A competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, based on experience.
