Job Description: The Manager of Nodin's Psychiatry Service leads a multi-disciplinary team, providing effective leadership and direction to support psychiatrists and their clients. This role involves daily operations, managing staff, delegating work, evaluating performance, developing policies and procedures, and maintaining operational expenses within budget.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manages a multi-disciplinary team and fully accountable for all personnel matters.
  2. Provides oversight, direction, and clinical leadership in all facets of service delivery.
  3. Manages the daily operations and work activities of staff on the team.
  4. Reviews all referrals and holds case management meetings for assignment of cases.
  5. Administers, monitors, and ensures staff adhere to organizational policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Social Work or Clinical Psychology or Nursing from an approved university.
  • Minimum 5 years direct clinical experience in mental health or 5 years nursing experience with some mental health nursing work experience.
  • Previous management/supervisory experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate in one of the First Nations dialects in the Sioux Lookout Zone is an asset.
