Material Handler Job Description

IPEX is a leading provider of plastic piping systems in North America. Our mission is to connect people with water and energy by shaping a better tomorrow.

We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our Extrusion Facility in Toronto. This individual will be responsible for implementing standard material handling procedures for finished and unfinished raw materials within the Extrusion Department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement standard material handling procedures for finished and unfinished raw materials.
  • Perform standard housekeeping duties and 5S projects.
  • Serve as a backup operator as needed.
  • Operate a forklift with 2 years of experience.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse.
  • Change materials and clean out press hoppers according to assigned job orders.
  • Remove finished product from the production area.
  • Verify wrapping, labeling, weighing, scanning, recording, and staging product.
  • Accurately identify, count, and label all product.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of corrugated and notify supervisor of any issues.
  • Ensure pallet accessibility for operators at all times.
  • Unload truck when necessary.
Requirements:
  • High School degree or equivalent.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools.
