About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled 3D Technical Animator to join our Bitmoji team at Snap Inc. As a key member of our animation team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality 3D animations and characters for our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Animation of 3D characters and props in Autodesk Maya, adhering to time limits and project lead instructions
  • Diagnose and resolve animation-related issues
  • Collaborate with concept artists, storyboard artists, modelers, VFX artists, prototypers, and engineers to ensure seamless animation production
  • Rig a wide range of props and character rigs using Autodesk Maya
  • Painting of skin weights for deformation
  • Collaborate with artists, animators, and engineers to ensure assets meet technical needs
  • Help troubleshoot and QA animation and technical issues for assets to move through the pipeline
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in 3D Animation, Classical Animation, or equivalent years of experience
  • 3+ years of experience in character animation and rigging
  • 3+ years of experience working with Maya
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficient in Python scripting
  • Experience creating or building rigging and animation tools
  • Experience in motion capture and motion capture cleanup
  • Experience making comics and/or short-form animated content
  • Experience with Lens Studio
