Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Military Pathway to B1 License: Non-Aircraft Personnel. This role offers a unique opportunity for individuals with a military background to transition into a career in aviation maintenance. As a member of our team, you will have the chance to develop your skills and knowledge in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete a 3-year intermittent Instructor-led UK CAA Part 66 Category B1/B2 modular training course while permanently employed as an Aircraft Mechanic.
- Gain practical experience in civil aviation while operating as an experienced unlicensed mechanic, enabling you to complete your CAA CAP 741 Aircraft Maintenance Engineers log book.
- Upon successful completion of the modular training course and the required period of practical experience, you will be eligible to apply for your basic CAA Part-66 category B license and progress to Technician.
Requirements:
- Ex-military or in the process of leaving the military.
- Minimum of 5 years non-aircraft trades experience.
- Ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form on individual task status.
- Ability to use standard tools, special tools, and operate ground support equipment.
- Ability to work in accordance with the maintenance data and notify the function responsible of defects or mistakes requiring rectification to re-establish required maintenance standards.
- Ability to identify and rectify existing and potential unsafe conditions.
- Basic PC skills.
