Aircraft Mechanic

Bombardier's Biggin Hill Service Centre is a leading maintenance facility in the UK, part of an award-winning network. As a key member of our team, you will be involved in the maintenance and repair of business aircraft, working closely with our experienced engineers and technicians.
About the Role:
As an Aircraft Mechanic on our Military Pathway to B1 License program, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in aircraft maintenance, while working towards obtaining your B1 License. You will be responsible for adhering to Bombardier's Maintenance Organization Procedures, as well as complying with Environmental, Health, and Safety policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance tasks to the standard specified in the Maintenance Data, under the supervision of Certifying Staff/Support Staff.
- Identify defective aircraft components and notify supervisors of defects or mistakes requiring rectification.
- Carry out maintenance tasks to the standard specified in the Maintenance Data, under the supervision of Certifying Staff/Support Staff.
- Report discrepancies and properly process removed, uninstalled, and rejected parts.
- Correct defects under the supervision of Certifying Staff/Support Staff.
- Report maintenance errors and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Ex-Military or in the process of leaving the military.
- Minimum of 5 years aircraft maintenance experience.
- Up-to-date basic knowledge requirements of Appendix I to Part-66.
- Basic knowledge of Part-145.
- Knowledge of EWIS and CDCCL when relevant.
- Knowledge of human factors, human performance, and limitations.
- Ability to interpret and work with engineering drawings.
- Ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form on individual task status.
- Ability to use standard tools, special tools, and operate ground support equipment.
- Ability to work in accordance with the maintenance data and notify the function responsible of defects or mistakes requiring rectification.
- Ability to identify and rectify existing and potential unsafe conditions.
- Experience understanding critical tasks.
- Basic PC skills.
