Mine Closure Planning Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mine Closure Planning Specialist to join our team at ERM. As a key member of our Mine Closure team, you will play a critical role in providing technical expertise for closure and reclamation planning at all stages of the mine life cycle.
Responsibilities:- Provide technical expertise for closure and reclamation planning, including the development of strategic closure goals, closure objectives, and associated criteria.
- Lead and/or support a wide variety of services for mining projects related to Capital Project development and environmental assessments and permitting.
- Mentor junior-level and mid-level consulting staff to support skillset development.
- Proactively engage and network with other ERM staff regionally and globally for knowledge sharing, market monitoring, and business development coordination.
- Assume responsibility for project management, including task delegation and direction, subcontractor management, health & safety protocol management, monitoring of commercial performance, quality review of deliverables, and interaction with clients.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, science, or related discipline.
- 5+ years of relevant mining experience, including mine closure planning, environmental coordination, and project management.
- Strong project management skills, including development of work plans, budgets, schedules, and project controls.
- Excellent writing, communication, strategic thinking, and 'people' skills.
- Experience with mining projects in BC and the North would be an asset.
