Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Site Superintendent to join our team. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our construction sites, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and supervise project site operations, including scheduling, quality control, budget control, health and safety, risk management, and employee management.
  • Ensure that assigned projects are completed according to contract documents and company policies.
  • Provide site orientation to all workers and visitors, and coordinate with sub-trades to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure that all laborers and sub-trades adhere to safe work procedures.
  • Accept, verify, and organize delivered materials on site, and conduct regular safety meetings to ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner during client interactions.
  • Be flexible with schedules and available to work overtime, nights, and Saturdays as required.
Requirements
  • Experience in healthcare and commercial construction is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and equipment is essential.
  • Experience in reading construction drawings and operating construction equipment is an asset.
  • Understanding of mechanical and electrical principles, systems, and technologies is required.
  • Solid understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and safe work practices is essential.
  • Familiarity with the CSA Z317 Effective Implementation of Infection Control During the Construction, Renovation, and Maintenance in Health Care Facilities is considered an asset.
  • Mathematically inclined and strong communication skills are required.
  • Valid driver's license and insurance are necessary.
