Sc.wén̓wen Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to drive the corporation's long-term success and sustainable growth. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing visionary leadership to enhance the value of SEDC, ensuring a positive impact on the Tkemlúps te Secwépemc economy and future generations.

About the Role:

The CEO will champion a culture of innovation, excellence, and ethical conduct, ensuring the implementation and achievement of strategic objectives and key performance indicators.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Strategic Leadership: Set the vision, mission, values, short and long-term strategic plans, and annual business plan, aligning with SEDC's goals and objectives.
  2. Leadership Development: Provide leadership to the organization to advance the vision, mission, and mandate of SEDC.
  3. Culture Building: Foster a workplace culture focused on professionalism, integrity, commitment, respect, collaboration, and teamwork.
  4. Risk Management: Establish and maintain robust risk management systems to identify, assess, and mitigate potential threats to SEDC's operations.
  5. Financial Planning: Create robust financial plans and strategies to safeguard the company's long-term viability.
  6. Community Engagement: Promote a strong commitment to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, while providing value as a contributing corporate citizen to the communities in which SEDC operates.
Educational Background:
  1. Baccalaureate degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
  2. 10+ years' experience as a CEO and/or Executive level position, leading a complex organization, ideally in the resource sector (e.g., mining, forestry, or construction services).
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. MBA in Business or related program.
  2. Experience leading large organizational, operational, or systems change initiatives.

This is a full-time role based in Kamloops, BC V2H 1H1, offering an estimated salary range of $130,000.00-$150,000.00 per year.
