About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Development Lead to join our Customer Success Engineering team at Remitly. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the technical strategy and systems of our Customer Success Technology engineering team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Lead the technical strategy and systems of the Customer Success Technology engineering team, ensuring alignment with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Frontend Development: Develop responsive and intuitive user interfaces that enhance the user experience and usability of our customer success platform, using modern frameworks like React or Angular and web technologies such as NextJS.
  • Architecture and Roadmap: Contribute to the architecture and technical roadmap of our software systems, balancing short-term goals with long-term scalability and maintainability.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Product, and Design, to ensure seamless integration and delivery of features and products.
  • People Management: Lead and mentor a team of engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure their growth and development.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve our development processes, ensuring efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability.
Requirements
  • Education: A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on frontend development and technical leadership.
  • Skills: Strong technical skills, including experience with modern frontend frameworks, web technologies, and agile development methodologies.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
