Customer Success Software Development Lead

About the Role:

The Customer Success Engineering team at Remitly plays a vital role in providing seamless support experiences for our customers. As a member of this team, you will be directly responsible for ensuring that our customers and agents have a frictionless experience when interacting with our platform.

You will be reporting to an Engineering Manager and will work as a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer with a focus on frontend development. As an important member of the team, you will make long-term strategic decisions, designing and maintaining scalable and user-friendly applications for our Remitly Customer Success Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the technical strategy and systems of the Customer Success Technology engineering team.
  2. Design and implement frontend components and features using modern frameworks like React or Angular and web technologies such as NextJS.
  3. Develop responsive and intuitive user interfaces that enhance the user experience and usability of our customer success platform.
  4. Contribute to the architecture and technical roadmap of our software systems, balancing short-term goals with long-term scalability and maintainability.
  5. Uphold our high engineering standards and bring consistency to the many codebases and processes you will encounter.

Requirements:

  1. A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  2. 5+ years of engineering experience in a team environment.
  3. Experience as a lead, working on both frontend, backend, and other areas to delight users both internally and externally.
  4. Experience leading other engineers on large features in collaboration with Product Management and other partners.
  5. Experience with CI/CD and advanced deployment strategies.

Compensation and Benefits:

  1. The starting base salary range for this position is $148,000-$180,000.
  2. In Canada, Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company, and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
  3. Our benefits package includes three weeks of vacation, health benefits, paid parental leave, mental health and family forming benefits, employee stock purchase plan, life insurance, and disability benefits.
