Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Team Management
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of our food service staff to ensure seamless meal preparation and service.
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a high level of quality and efficiency.
- Hire and manage food service staff to meet the needs of our restaurant.
- Operations and Logistics
- Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation to minimize waste and optimize inventory.
- Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform business decisions.
- Establish work schedules to ensure efficient use of staff and resources.
- Customer Service and Quality Control
- Ensure that food and service meet our high quality control standards, addressing customer complaints or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Monitor and maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Business Development and Support
- Support the social and labor market integration of newcomers and refugees, including facilitating access to community resources, language training, and skills training.
- Recruit and support newcomers and refugees who were displaced by conflict or natural disaster, offering mentorship programs and pairing them with experienced employees.
- Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for youth, Indigenous workers, and members of visible minorities.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and with tight deadlines.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that involve standing, walking, and attention to detail.
This is a permanent position, working 35 hours per week, with a focus on leading our culinary team to deliver exceptional customer experiences. The work language is English.
