Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Political Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our editorial staff, you will be responsible for researching and analyzing newsworthy stories, politics, and government policies. Your expertise will help us stay ahead of the curve, providing insightful commentary and predictions on Canadian news, politics, finance, and culture.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough research using academic journals, news articles, public records, and interviews to stay informed on Canadian news and politics.
  • Analyze content and organize findings in a logical manner to provide valuable insights.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Producer to prepare scripts for filming and work with the marketing team to write content for various online platforms and social media channels.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • An undergraduate degree in political science, business, or finance, with a bonus if you have experience in Journalism/Reporting.
  • Industry experience or a passion for writing or politics.
  • Knowledge of the Canadian Press style.
  • Vibrant and professional demeanor.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A strong ability to analyze and interpret political data, news, and events.
  • A self-starter attitude, motivated and hardworking.
  • A strong attention to detail.
  • The capacity to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to breaking news.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive full-time salary ($65,000 - $80,000 per annum), extended health benefits package, and other perks including weekly catered lunches, health & wellness programs, fun team events, and daily healthy snacks.
