Job Description

Job Title: Counter Salesperson

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Counter Salesperson to join our team at Guillevin International. As a Counter Salesperson, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing customer orders, and promoting sales of our products.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Serve Customers: Greet customers in a professional manner, process customer orders, and provide excellent customer service.
  • Process Orders: Pick orders from the warehouse, carry merchandise to customers' vehicles, and process payments.
  • Promote Sales: Promote sales of focus and complementary products, suggest alternative or associated products, and respond to product inquiries.
  • Answer Phone Calls: Answer phone calls promptly and efficiently, redirect calls or take action when required.
  • Maintain Counter Area: Maintain the counter area clean, organized, and restock items as needed.
  • Assist Inside Sales Team: Assist the Inside Sales team as needed, taking calls, preparing orders, etc.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Ideally 5 years' experience in a similar position.
  • Skills: Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised, meet key deadlines, and possess excellent verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge: Good knowledge of English and/or French written and spoken.
  • Initiative: Demonstrated initiative to self-improvement of business and product skills.
  • Merchandising Skills: Good merchandising skills and product application knowledge.
  • Computer Skills: Good computer skills, including knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
