We are seeking a skilled Certified Millwright to join our team at our Grande Prairie Sawmill. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our mill machinery and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance on mill machinery and equipment.
- Inspect and troubleshoot issues with mechanical systems, pumps, conveyors, compressors, and other equipment.
- Work effectively with a high-performance team to maintain equipment and ensure optimal production levels.
- Apply your knowledge and skills to troubleshoot issues, enhance equipment reliability, and implement safe and reliable fixes.
- Assist in creating a safe work environment for coworkers, customers, and site visitors.
- Red Seal Certification in Millwrighting.
- Physical capability to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- High degree of urgency and ability to work under pressure.
- Knowledge of the lumber or industrial manufacturing process (an asset).
- Experience with welding procedures and equipment reliability (an asset).
