Job Title: Journeyman Powerline Technician

Valard Construction LP is a leading powerline contractor, serving clients in both public and private sectors. We offer construction services in overhead and underground transmission and distribution systems, substations, fiber optics, as well as substation and transmission foundations.

We are seeking a qualified Journeyman Powerline Technician to join our Toronto Hydro Project Operations Team. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, team player with a strong work ethic and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

Requirements
  • Red Seal Distribution Lineman certification
  • Minimum 3 years of distribution experience
  • Live within daily driving distance of the GTA
  • Previous Toronto Hydro experience
  • Class 4 Rubber Glove experience
  • Confined Space Cert. UWPC would be an asset
  • Class DZ mandatory (preference to AZ)
  • Working at Heights Cert. Standard First Aid (CPR/AED) would be an asset
  • Positive attitude and good work ethic
  • Clean criminal record
  • Double vaccinated for COVID-19
  • CUSW Union membership or willingness to join
