About the Role

MistyWest is seeking a highly skilled Firmware Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. As a Firmware Engineer, you will play a crucial role in creating programs that interface with and control physical devices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify software/firmware requirements and plan the architecture for projects
  • Communicate with project teams to ensure successful project completion
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to complete product development and research tasks
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • At least 4 years of experience in firmware and software development
  • Proven track record of developing firmware and embedded software for connected products
  • Strong embedded Linux experience, including kernel-level and driver-level expertise
  • Experience with embedded RTOS, freeRTOS, and unit testing
  • Excellent knowledge of software development practices, testing, and revision control
  • Experience with low-level drivers, application-level firmware, and hardware debugging
  • Experience with Ultra Low Power applications and Linux Driver development
  • Experience with Zephyr development and Nordic BLE Chips
  • Well-versed in various sensors and technologies
Nice to Have
  • Experience with LTE CAT M1 Modules, WiFi Chips, and GNSS Based Applications
  • Experience with Altium for schematic capture and layout
