Embedded Systems Software Engineer

Amazon is seeking a highly skilled Embedded Systems Software Engineer to join its Kuiper team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing firmware code for customer terminals and satellites.

The Role
  1. Design and develop firmware components/drivers in a real-time embedded environment
  2. Work with cross-functional teams to define performance requirements and make trade-offs to meet end-to-end use case requirements
  3. Build and debug firmware code in Kuiper's embedded environment
  4. Profile and execute code on RTOS and/or bare-metal embedded environment
  5. Contribute to defining services and functionalities delivered by firmware-subsystems
  6. Define and document firmware-HW interfaces
  7. Familiarity with software/firmware best practices

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Requirements
  1. 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  2. 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
  3. Experience programming with at least one software programming language
