Job Summary

Northern Health Authority is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in providing exceptional patient care in community home care settings. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering compassionate care to clients with mental and physical handicaps, utilizing the nursing process to plan, organize, implement, and evaluate professional nursing care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to clients with mental and physical handicaps in community settings
• Conduct assessments, develop care plans, and implement interventions to promote client independence and self-care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support
• Participate in case management services, including assessment, monitoring, health teaching, support consultation, liaison, and referral

Requirements

• Baccalaureate degree in nursing
• Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant
• 3 years' experience in community home care or acute care nursing (RN) plus an equivalent combination of experience and post-basic education in nursing clients with mental handicaps
• Current valid BC Driver's License
