The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Scientist to join our team at the Campbell Family Mental Health Research Institute. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for conducting cutting-edge research in translational neuroscience, with a focus on understanding the neurobiological bases of psychiatric and neurological disorders.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and lead research projects in translational neuroscience, with a focus on understanding the neurobiological bases of psychiatric and neurological disorders.
- Establish and maintain local, national, and international collaborations with other researchers and institutions.
- Provide practical supervision of undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral trainees, as well as technical staff.
- Secure and manage extramural funding sources for research activities.
- Disseminate research results through presentations at academic meetings and conferences, and communicate ideas to key decision makers.
- Ph.D. in Health Sciences and 3 years of postdoctoral experience in neuroscience research.
- Expertise in preclinical or translational neuroscience, or both.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team and cultivate internal and external relationships.
