Millwright Journeyman Job Description

As a Millwright Journeyman at Silver Hills Bakery, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company's mission to inspire healthy lifestyles. You will work in a fast-paced production environment, collaborating with a dynamic team to learn new skills and contribute to the company's success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the project manager to oversee project installations, ensuring timely and budget-friendly execution.
  • Provide guidance and supervision to contractors working on projects, ensuring adherence to company standards.
  • Interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures and optimize project outcomes.
  • Install, align, disassemble, and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, utilizing hand and power tools to ensure precise execution.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, as well as programmable logic controls, to ensure seamless operation.
  • Operate hoisting and lifting devices, such as cranes, jacks, and tractors, to position machinery and parts during installation, setup, and repair.
  • Operate machine tools, like lathes and grinders, to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or setup of machinery.
  • Inspect new equipment and parts to ensure compliance with Purchase Orders and company standards.
  • Ensure contractor WCB approvals, plant safety program orientation, and confidentiality statements are completed.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance and production team to provide SOPs and training materials at the time of project sign-off.
  • Enforce company policies and Standard Operating Procedures to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Promote and facilitate safe work practices and policies to ensure a healthy and productive work environment.

Hourly rate - $42.00/hour
