Job Description


The Commercial Sales Coordinator will be a key member of the HarperCollins Canada Sales team, reporting to the Sales Representative. The role is responsible for creating, updating, and distributing catalogues and order forms for accounts and Sales Reps. This includes presenting titles for sell-in to accounts in the Gift Market and Wholesaler channels, performing research and sales analysis, and assisting with the creation of digital vendor presentations. Additionally, the coordinator will participate in seasonal sales conferences, create and manage content for social media accounts, gift webpages, and eNewsletters, and assist with placing orders for accounts, authors, and events.

Responsibilities

  1. Create, update, and distribute catalogues and order forms for accounts and Sales Reps
  2. Present titles for sell-in to accounts in the Gift Market and Wholesaler channels
  3. Perform research and sales analysis, including merchandising tasks (reports, audits)
  4. Assist with the creation of digital vendor presentations
  5. Participate in seasonal sales conferences
  6. Create and manage content for social media accounts, gift webpages, and eNewsletters
  7. Place orders for accounts, authors, and events


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Completion of university or college education, or possess equivalent/relevant work experience
  • Retail and/or selling experience an asset
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with fellow employees
  • Self-starter with capacity to work independently
  • Familiarity with digital platforms, including social media
  • Comfort with key PC or MAC software (Excel, Numbers, Word, Adobe)
