About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our team as a Healthcare Professional - Trauma Informed Care Specialist.

Job Summary

  • Provide direct trauma-informed healthcare services to clients with complex mental health and substance use challenges, including assessments, referrals, and treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans, ensuring a patient-centered approach.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing competing demands while maintaining a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, adhering to established procedures and policies.

Requirements

  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
  • Two years' recent experience providing trauma-informed acute or community health nursing care/services to patients with complex needs.
  • SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF OCCUPATIONAL FIRST AID II (OFA II) OR EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE.
