About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Amaya Express. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring exceptional quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook meals for customers with food allergies or intolerances, adhering to strict dietary guidelines.
  • Train kitchen staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, promoting a culture of excellence and safety.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless operations.
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Clean kitchen and work areas, adhering to health and safety protocols.
  • Organize buffets and banquets, ensuring exceptional presentation and service.
  • Manage kitchen operations, making informed decisions to optimize efficiency and quality.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads and repetitive tasks.
  • Excellent oral communication skills, with a focus on client satisfaction.
  • Dependability, flexibility, and reliability, with a strong work ethic.
  • Time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Work Environment

Our kitchen is located in an urban area, with public transportation available. The work environment is physically demanding, requiring standing for extended periods and handling heavy loads.

The primary language of communication is English.

Work Term

This is a temporary position, with a variable schedule of 30 to 40 hours per week.
