Responsibilities

Your responsibilities as Retail Store Team Leader will include:

  • Managing a team of 3-4 staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service and high sales standards;
  • Supervising and coordinating activities of workers, including assigning sales workers to duties and monitoring sales performance;
  • Hiring and training or arranging for training of staff, ensuring they meet the required standards and competencies;
  • Maintaining inventory levels, organizing and maintaining stock, and conducting regular inventory checks;
  • Preparing reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters, providing insights and recommendations for improvement;
  • Resolving issues that may arise, including customer complaints, supply shortages, and other problems that require attention;
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment, and promoting a positive company culture;
  • Selling merchandise, managing cash, and processing transactions accurately and efficiently;
  • Conducting performance reviews, providing constructive feedback, and developing action plans to improve performance;
  • Collaborating with other departments, such as visual displays, marketing, and human resources, to achieve business objectives.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • a secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience;
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role in a retail environment;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders;
  • A strong understanding of retail operations, including sales, inventory management, and customer service;
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks effectively and managing multiple projects simultaneously;
  • A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service, with a focus on building strong relationships and exceeding customer expectations;
  • A passion for learning and professional development, with a desire to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Pioneer On The Run offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a generous retirement savings plan.
