Grounds Maintenance Specialist

At Northern Property REIT, we are a dedicated team focused on delivering exceptional property management services. We are seeking a skilled Grounds Maintenance Specialist to join our Residential team in Grande Prairie, AB.

The successful candidate will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and be responsible for ensuring the grounds and buildings are well-maintained, with a focus on safety, curb appeal, and resident satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety of common areas and comply with Northern Property REIT's Health and Safety requirements
  • Maintain lawns, shrubs, trees, and flower beds, including pruning, raking, mowing grass, fertilizing, and weeding control
  • Move furniture, equipment, materials, and supplies, including clearing vacant suites and loading/unloading materials
  • Perform snow removal and ice control from entrances/exits and walkways as required
  • Deliver notices to building residents and post notices in common areas as needed
  • Maintain clean vacant lots and keep grounds free of debris
  • Maintain tools and equipment
  • Maintain company vehicles where applicable
  • Assist with suite renovations and other upgrades
  • Provide resident services and assistance as required, maintaining good resident relations
  • Assist with the implementation of preventative maintenance programs
  • Perform other duties related to the upkeep of buildings and grounds as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working outdoors in manual labor, in diverse weather conditions
  • Proven ability to work productively and safely under pressure, with good time management
  • Previous training/experience using Bobcat equipment an asset, but not required
  • Good customer service skills and a pleasant demeanor, with the ability to speak and write English
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Will work weekends if necessary
