Our Advanced Technology Group is part of the EA Sports Technology organization, focusing on identifying and creating new, scalable technologies for game teams. We are looking for close collaboration with game teams, central art teams, and the Frostbite engine team; though the technologies developed can apply to many different engines, environments, and hardware platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the development team to advance the core technologies supporting EA Sports long-term technology initiatives.
- Propose strategy for shared technology to support advancing character creation, realistic visuals, and user-generated experiences.
- Transform technology strategy into execution plans, in collaboration with Frostbite game engine teams and EA Sports game teams.
- Promote technology initiatives through stakeholder engagement and presenting to leadership on product vision and strategy.
- Guide the team's engineering and architectural best practices, in partnership with the Technical Lead.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in gaming technology.
- Technical leadership and/or mentoring experience.
- Experience leading a team of 5+ engineers.
- C++, architectural, and software engineering skills.
- Experience with the software design/architecture process.
- Experience communicating product updates, milestones, and progress to internal and external partners: Demonstrated ability to explain technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Capability to produce a wide array of user requirements into a product plan for an engineering team.
- Experience working with technical and creative partners.
- Experience with public speaking and presentations.
