About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Physician Specialist to join our team in Interventions Radiology at Fraser Health Authority.

This is a full-time opportunity for a skilled healthcare professional to provide high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering expert medical services, working closely with other healthcare professionals, and contributing to the development of our clinical programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform patient rounds under the supervision of attending physicians, collaborating with other care team members to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Assess day-to-day patient care, writing medical orders, consulting with other services, and responding to changing patient conditions in consultation with attending staff.
  • Conduct admission history and physical examinations, progress notes, discharge summaries, and medication reconciliation as per standards, policies, and guidelines.
  • Develop treatment plans in response to changing patient conditions, where appropriate, and in consultation with attending staff.
  • Follow through on investigations and consult with attending staff.
Requirements
  • Medical degree from a school listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools.
  • Minimum of two years of accredited postgraduate training as a medical or surgical specialist, verified by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC (CPSBC).
  • Successful completion of Part 1 of the Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination (MCCQE) or Steps 1 through 3 of the United States Medical Licensing Examinations (USMLEs).
  • Must meet the CPSBC's English language proficiency requirements.
  • Eligible for registration with the CPSBC in the Associate Physician class, under sponsorship by Fraser Health Authority.
  • Valid Canadian Citizenship, be a permanent resident, or be legally able to live and work in British Columbia.
