Maintenance Foreman Job Description

The Nunavik Housing Bureau (NHB) is seeking a skilled Maintenance Foreman to join our team in Aupaluk. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our buildings, ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment for our tenants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and coordinate maintenance work to ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Supervise and lead a team of maintenance staff to ensure effective and efficient maintenance operations
  • Respond to tenant concerns and complaints in a professional and courteous manner
  • Ensure compliance with NHB policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • Northern Maintenance diploma or equivalent experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in maintenance fields such as carpentry, electricity, heating, or plumbing
  • Ability to work in two of the three languages of the region (Inuktitut, French, or English)
  • Valid driver's license required
