We are seeking a skilled Furniture Restoration Specialist to join our team at Classic Wood Finishing Ltd.

As a Furniture Restoration Specialist, you will be responsible for making minor adjustments and repairs to furniture, preparing, sanding, and trimming wooden furniture and fixture parts, reading blueprints and drawings, staining or finishing wood to specified color, applying toners, highlights, glazes, or shaders to obtain desired finish, applying lacquer or other sealers, installing hardware on furniture and fixtures, decorating wood surfaces, inspecting furniture and fixture subassemblies and finished products for conformance to quality standards, cleaning, polishing, and waxing furniture, stripping old finish from wood surface, smoothing gouges with wood filler and sanding wood, and making minor repairs to furniture.

Responsibilities:
  • Make minor adjustments and repairs to furniture
  • Prepare, sand, and trim wooden furniture and fixture parts
  • Read blueprints and drawings
  • Stain or finish wood to specified color
  • Apply toners, highlights, glazes, or shaders to obtain desired finish
  • Apply lacquer or other sealers
  • Install hardware on furniture and fixtures
  • Decorate wood surfaces
  • Inspect furniture and fixture subassemblies and finished products for conformance to quality standards
  • Clean, polish, and wax furniture
  • Strip old finish from wood surface
  • Smooth gouges with wood filler and sand wood
  • Make minor repairs to furniture
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 5 years or more of experience in this field
Working Conditions:
  • Furniture repair shop
Weight Handling:
  • Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • More than 45 kg (100 lbs)
