Nurse Position

The Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RN/RPN) is accountable for promoting high-quality care through assessing, planning, implementing, documenting, and evaluating the total care needs of our patients/residents/clients (P/R/Cs).
The RN/RPN is required to coordinate with all the departments within the facility, families, and professionals associated with P/R/Cs care. The RN/RPN must promote effective communication in the facility through care given and reporting mechanisms. The RN/RPN is expected to participate in staff meetings and educational opportunities to maintain their own professional competence.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, document, and evaluate the total care needs of patients/residents/clients (P/R/Cs)
- Coordinate with all departments within the facility, families, and professionals associated with P/R/Cs care
- Promote effective communication in the facility through care given and reporting mechanisms
- Participate in staff meetings and educational opportunities to maintain professional competence
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
- Psychiatric Nursing diploma is acceptable
- Nursing diploma is acceptable
- Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing is acceptable
- Intermediate - Computer skills
- Intermediate - Communication skills
- Intermediate - Capability to achieve results: Take actions to implement decisions
- Basic - Interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to work and communicate in a cross-cultural setting
- Registered/eligible with the Registered Psychiatric Nurses Association of SK
- Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
