Telecommunications Line Technician

We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Line Installer to join our team at Jay-Smart Technologies Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and maintaining aerial and underground telephone equipment, as well as climbing and working aloft on poles, ladders, or other support structures.
Key Responsibilities- Install and Maintain Equipment: Install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment, including cables, power suppliers, and amplifiers.
- Climb and Work Aloft: Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders, or other support structures to access and repair equipment.
- Repair and Replace Faulty Equipment: Repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers, and amplifiers to ensure reliable telephone service.
- Splice and Connect Wires: Splice, join, and connect wires to ensure proper telephone service.
- Operate Heavy Equipment: Operate jackhammers and drills to break up pavement and access underground equipment.
- Analyze Test Results: Analyze test results and instrument readings to diagnose and repair equipment issues.
- Communicate with Team Members: Communicate with other workers to coordinate the preparation and completion of work assignments.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in telecommunications line installation and maintenance.
- Language: English.
- Hours: 35 hours per week.
