About the Role:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitorial Assistant to join our team at TSS Janitorial. As a Janitorial Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our clients. Your duties will include sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors, dusting furniture, and vacuuming carpets and upholstered furniture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sweep, mop, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Dust furniture and fixtures to ensure a clean and dust-free environment
  • Vacuum carpets, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture to maintain a clean and tidy environment
  • Distribute clean towels and toiletries to clients
  • Stock linen closets to ensure a sufficient supply of linens
  • Clean and disinfect kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances to maintain a clean and hygienic environment
  • Clean and disinfect elevators to ensure a safe and clean environment
  • Handle and report lost and found items to clients
  • Pick up debris and empty trash containers to maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Mend clothing and linens to ensure a clean and tidy environment
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Wash windows, walls, and ceilings to maintain a clean and tidy environment
  • Clean changing rooms and showers to ensure a clean and hygienic environment

Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Repetitive tasks and physically demanding work environment
  • Ability to bend, crouch, and kneel to perform cleaning duties
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking to perform cleaning duties
  • Punctuality and dependability are essential for this role
  • Flexibility and patience are required to work in a fast-paced environment
