Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Technician to join our team at Equiton Residential Income Fund LP. As an Accounting Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting tasks, including financial record-keeping, budgeting, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other financial documents.
  • Budgeting: Assist in preparing and managing the company's budget, including forecasting and analyzing financial data.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to management, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Payroll Administration: Process payroll, including calculating and preparing cheques for employees.
  • Accounting Software: Maintain and update accounting software, including reconciliations and journal entries.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Work Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Accounting Software: Experience with accounting software, including MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in computer software, including Microsoft Office.
