Construction Project Manager

At EllisDon, we are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Manager to lead our construction projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise activities of all company personnel on assigned projects.
  • Authorize and approve all project personnel transactions, purchase requisitions, change requests, and other related activities.
  • Ensure adherence to company, client, and project policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Develop and maintain cost tracking ledgers and provide direction to planning, scheduling, and engineering functions as required.
  • Develop strategies to ensure project financial goals are achieved and mitigate risk.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, including pre-construction, baseline construction, procurement, and commissioning schedules.
  • Conduct performance reviews in a timely manner, provide quality feedback, and guide development plans.
  • Communicate project schedules and challenges effectively to clients, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
  • Participate in internal project reviews, negotiate claims and disputes, and assist in hiring and assigning project teams.
  • Ensure project safety standards and environmental programs are adhered to at all times.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of supervisory or equivalent experience in construction.
  • Thorough knowledge of construction technology, equipment, methods, company policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, supervisory, and planning skills.
  • Negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Residential experience is considered an asset, and PMP designation is also an asset.
