Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Manager to join our tax practice in Toronto or Vancouver.

This role offers the opportunity to work in a range of tax and succession planning areas, including estate & trust compliance, personal and corporate tax planning, purchase and sale of private businesses, estate planning, and cross border investment and compliance.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and coordinating tax planning and compliance services for individuals requiring US and Canadian income or estate tax filings.
  • Working closely with Tax Partners and other Senior staff on personal tax compliance and tax advisory engagements.
  • Managing risk and financial performance of engagements, including billing, collections, and project budgets.
  • Reviewing assessments and corresponding with the IRS, state authorities, and CRA on various issues.
  • Building and managing client relationships at a senior level; advising clients by delivering high-quality tax service and advice.
  • Actively mentoring and coaching staff to their highest potential.
