Job Title: General Manager

The City of Prince Albert is seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to lead the EA Rawlinson Centre for the Arts. As a key member of the City's Arts and Culture team, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and management of the Centre, ensuring its success and growth in the community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan for the Centre, aligning with the City's Arts and Culture Master Plan and Municipal Culture Action Plan.
  • Manage Centre employees and volunteers, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service and event execution.
  • Prepare and manage the annual budget for the Centre, ensuring financial sustainability and growth.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the Centre's operations are efficient and effective.
  • Work with the Communications Division to develop a marketing plan for the Centre, promoting its events and programs to the community.
  • Develop and maintain a training program for Centre staff and volunteers, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
  • Investigate and report on various issues, providing recommendations for improvement to Senior Administration and the public.
  • Develop and implement an asset management plan for the Centre, ensuring its facilities and equipment are well-maintained and up-to-date.
Requirements:
  • A four-year degree in a related field, such as Performing Arts, Culture, or Facility Management.
  • Experience in the technical and front-of-house requirements of a performing arts and entertainment centre.
  • Ability to develop and build strong working relationships with Elected Officials, Senior Administration, City staff, volunteers, and the public.
  • Moderate knowledge of Microsoft Office and promotional programs.
  • Working knowledge of current safety standards and their implementation.
  • A Class 5 driver's license.
